You are seeing correlation here as how tempo is setup in HD the top teams should be running it more often then not, especially at the lower levels. The more possessions you get (which is all an UT offense does) means it is more likely that the better team wins.

Uptempo is not causing these teams to have a better FG% or be the top teams it is just the correlation because of how WIS handles what it calls 'tempo'.
