Nope, works great. Because they practice shortly after the game you can take it off right after the game and have his WE go back up. Practice will look at him like he has full WE thus you get full improvements without him playing. I only did it about 5 times with him last season, but because practice happens so fast the time frame forced me to have to stay up later then what I was willing to so I stopped doing it.

I run into guys like Furry every day that I go to work. Did I mention that I work in a prison?

I had something to say back to that, but with the cry babies lately someone would report it. I'll leave my murder/rapist pun out of this one but IMO it was 9/10 and full of lols. Shame grown folks can't handle jokes

I'd perma-ban you from the game just for admitting to exploiting. (as I stated many times about your freeHD crap.)

How? Not my fault he didn't transfer. Nowhere does it say not every player will transfer. He did play in 7 games and could have complained. Just because I promised him PT doesn't mean I can't redshirt him or that I have to live up to it. He might complain, he might not. There is nothing wrong with a viable risk/reward stratagy. I was able to bring him on campus for cheaper, but also lost a year of improvements. You can call it exploiting, I'll call it using all the recruiting tools open to me. I do things differently then everyone when it comes to my practice minutes, recruiting and so on. I've found plenty of other ways to win. Just admit my knowledge on things is higher then you. You don't need to try and say I cheated because I found out how to have more success then you. Anyone could have done it. Not my fault they couldn't figure it out on there own.

Some examples are advantages, others are cheating. It's a shame you can't tell the difference. Removing people like you from the game would be addition by subtraction.

Cheating

As a competitve coach I am always looking for something different to give me an edge. I use to use promises until they fixed it and in the process of finding a work-around I found out this as well. With potential I found out how to max out my guys faster because of adjustments to how minutes were being looked at to. The old pull down method is also working in the low risk/high reward thing that they seem to not know about, even though everyone else does. Rumor has it another one is out there too so even if they fix this there will ALWAYS be advantages out there. If you choose to do everything the same as coach A then you are passing up on it and that is your choice, but can't hate on the great coaches finding out the advantages. Call em whatever you want, but many have there own tricks. I use about 10-15 little advantages per season that give me the most edge. I wouldn't call it cheating, just mastering the game the best I can.
Being competitive doesn't give you a right to use glitches/loop-holes to your advantage. To try it once to find out if it is a glitch and then report it once you had found out is one thing (and clearly not what you did) but to use it to your benefit and keep it a secret is not ok. I agree with mlat.

And what advantage does it give me? Really? The post of why it happened was on the coach corner. I use promise mins/starts to get people to consider my school even more after they are already considering me so FSS scares coaches off. Before signings I do inform of redshirt/no redshirt and then offer a ship and it wipes off the promises, but the evals/visits or whatever I used is still enough to keep em to consider me. I got called into work the day of signings and had to pull a split shift. I did not do it before I , and when I got home he signed. I posted on the coaches corner that I hope he takes the redshirt because I can't live up to both promises. He didn't, so I was with no choice to leave it on all season. With a few games I took it off and risked him complaining. He didn't, and I got lucky. True story

Tell me what unfair advantage I gained out of it. I'd love to hear it.

"If you need to manage minutes toss it on him and take it off at the end of the year. I did it the last 2 seasons to FR that I promised mins to (my pg had 30 min/start last year I did it to make him no transfer"

Clearly NOT the intended means to get 30+Start.
