Crazyivan does have a legitimate gripe here...shocking that zhawks and dalter would blindly be sticking up for WIS and HD as they are currently. Its becoming very clear what you 2 guys are about here..."if you don't agree with us/the way things are, then you're wrong, treasonous, etc."

And like I said earlier about this (and crazyivan understands this as well)...WIS customer service is more about damage control than anything else, thus if they have to bend the truth to put a smile on someone's face, that's what they do.

If zhawks and dalter thought it looked wrong, they would have said it looked wrong. They do so often. This doesn't look wrong. Why you can't trust the feedback given by guys who have played this game for years is beyond me. If you don't like it, just go find some other game. It's that simple.

The problem is he came in here wanting everyone to agree with him and when we didn't he threw a temper tantrum, like my 2 year old daughter did this morning.

colonels, you don't know how hysterical your post is.

For the past several years, I've been known as arguably the most vocal critic of WIS, trying to improve HD by stirring the pot, challenging what they are or aren't doing, etc. So to insinuate that I'm some sort of company yes man is so hilariously off the mark and *** backwards, all it does is expose you as being clueless.

(And please differentiate: Just because I don't agree with something you have to say, doesn't mean I automatically agree with what WIS has to say.)

why does this thread exist? input and analysis of what happened or just spouting?

if it is spouting, leave me out

if analysis, I think the big question is what was the comparative timing of the two school's effort - did one or the other do its visits etc earlier than the other - and was either school ahead for some or all cycles in the course of recruiting

timing will matter because of the additional credit that one earns from being ahead and the possible additional credit (I'm sure of the former, less sure of the latter) for early effort

who was ahead during the process?

Ok, voice o reason here. Let's say that it was a 2/3 grade, and that was worth about 66% bonus.

Colgate got a start, 20 min, 4sv, 24 hv.

Yale put in say start, 20 min, 3 sv, 14 hv.

Say 20 min is worth 2 home visits and a start is worth 3, I have no idea, but this seems plausible.

Colgate is up to 4sv, 29hv.

Yale is at 3sv, 19 hv.

Multiply Yale by 1.66 and you get 5 scouting trips and 31.54. So Colgate loses.

Even if the factor is 50%, which also seems possible, then Yale has 4.5 sv and 28.5hv, which is just about exactly equal and timing would have a large effect.

So what is the problem? 2/3rd a grade is worth 50%? Seems possible and certainly not broken. I have always thought a full grade is worth around double or at least 75% bonus.

And the fact is... We both have plenty of D1 recruiting (at all levels) knowledge to back us up with. I have recruited from a D- all the way to an A+ in d1 and this does, in no way, strike me as odd. Yes it is a close battle but 2/3rd letter grade + the same promises would easily beat 10 hv's, every time.
