My guess is that you're immune for the first four years, and then you have the next four years to make the NT at least once. I know I was in Jeopardy at New Mexico for at least three seasons.

Of course, at a lower prestige school (like New Mexico) making even the PI at least once would possibly buy some time, but not at an ACC school like Maryland?

Coach, thank you for your interest in joining our program. Unfortunately, we are looking for a coach who has demonstrated the ability to infuse a consistent winning atmosphere.

Were you listed as better than a longshot (and if so how)? You have only played 2 seasons in D2, both at different schools...and both several seasons apart..?
Yeah, this is kind of a joke post, wanted to see if I could move up yet or not...first time applying for a D1 job lol

Good luck ever getting the job then.

Man, considering some of the coaches at major schools that don't make postseason tournaments AT ALL for many more seasons than this, that is an awfully quick dismissal.

Yes. Think of the pressure to perform as inverse to how difficult it is to get the job. Maryland, with an A baseline prestige, is going to be very picky.

I thought it realistically took a minimum of four seasons of crap performance from when you were hired to get fired. And chad had missed the postseason for only 3. I guess the PIT appearance was the first year of "declining performance" in the school's eyes?

that firing looks just about right to me. In real life, he probably would not have even made it to this last season. One extra season of lenience (beyond the real life level) sounds appropriate for an ACC school in HD.

You got fired at Michigan!? Sonofabitch, had I known that was going to happen, I wouldn't have quit Knight World. I thought that world would the only chance I'd have to get Michigan until you landed there :)
