That's weird. Did they turn down power and increase other offensive aspects? The run percentage wasn't hurt nearly as much as I expected, and I was kind of hoping it would.

I am all for the drop in Homers.......They should get rid of the parks like "what if sports field", etc.

from what I've seen, all those HR they took away end up as singles now.

The league averages for AVG, OBP, 2B/game, 3B/game have all been relatively unchanged.
The only major change was fewer HR which has dropped slugging which obviously affects run scoring. But by changing HR to singles, the rate of runs scored wouldn't drop as far as the HR rates.

The statistics show that the homers became triples and doubles, but an equal number of triples and doubles became singles. Therefore although it appears that homers became singles, appearances are deceiving.

You have no evidence that this is true. All we have is the starting point and the end point. It could be that all those HRs are becoming outs, while some of the outs are becoming singles. The net result is the same: home runs down, singles up, everything else the same.

1 The update radically reduced HRs.

2 Some people got screwed.

3 Admin agrees that they went to far and are making adjustments.
