Who are the Top 4 College Teams in 2010 Topic

The Pac10? Its no surprise that the conference is awful this season. They only had one sweet 16 team last year (a cinderella Arizona team which then lost by 40 points in that round), so they weren't all that good last year. Then, every single tournament team was decimated. Five of the teams lost over HALF of their minutes/scoring (Arizona, UCLA, USC, Washington State and Stanford) and three of THOSE teams lost their coaches. None of those five had a material influx of (healthy) talent ... and I'd say that USC's play this season is an unexpectedly GOOD showing. The other five teams all had some losses ... two of those teams suffered HUGE losses in talent (Washington (Brockman and Dentmon) and Arizona State (Harden and Pendergraph), two of those teams weren't good teams to begin with (Oregon and Oregon State) so their returning "talent" had already proven to be ineffective. The only team that realistically should have had any expectation of making the tournament was California. And even that team was going to regress slightly, since their 3pt FG was a historical anamoly and simply wasn't going to be duplicated at that level (that has proved to be true ... from 43% to 38% - still very good). And Cal has come pretty close to meeting (what should have been) their expectations so far: 11-5, only one 'bad' loss (home to UCLA). Unless you were asleep at the wheel (and many "experts" were), nobody should have predicted more than 2 (maybe 3) Pac-10 teams would get an at-large bid. That's right where they are. I'm not saying that its a good sign. I'm just saying that nobody who follows college basketball should be surprised by what the heck has happened to the PAC 10.

Ok, nobody ever believes in Purdue. That includes every biased piece of crap analyst on ESPN! Anyway, Purdue was 14 - 0(inlcluding convincing wins over then #11 Tennessee(who beat KANSAS!) and then undefeated #6 West Virginia) until they lost the past 2 in a row vs. very solid Big Ten teams. And now nobody cares about the Boilers yet again. They have all of the tools of a Final Four team. Good ball-handlers, great 3-point shooters, a couple stars (Hummel and JaJuan Johnson) and a stifling defense. Including the best perimeter defender in the Nation (Chris Kramer). Purdue is going to bounce back today against Northwestern and run hot into the tourney. Making the Final Four and shocking everyone except us loyal fans here in West Lafayette.

I'm not even a Gonzaga fan, but the fact that another team lost to another team doesn't discredit their chances to go deep. Didn't know this was such a touchy subject, sorry. Just think Gonzaga and Purdue are real sleepers and have as good a shot as anyone... and yes that includes Duke.

Did you actually watch the game?

The Badgers owned that game. Duke hit a barrage (and really it was just Dawkins) of threes in the final couple minutes. Wisconsin dominated the game until the final five minutes, and still ended up winning. As far as UW dominates, that was a domination.

gonzaga is not as talented as usual, they are a good team but nothing special, purdue is a nice collection of players but needs to prove themselves in the postseason one of these years, until then they'll continue to be overlooked, duke needs an interior player to start dominating to have any chance.

not touchy at all.
