Better DITR’s!!! Topic

Sure. In the same sense that I get a 5% raise at work. Sounds great. Oh, but wait; I only made $7.00/hour. That extra $14.00 per week isn't buying much at the grocery store these days.

It's something for nothing. When someone can tell me what they did to make their DITR into BL players, I'll gladly listen to their whining.

Well, not gladly, but I'll listen.

Yeah guys I get it. My point to jaydon'sdad was just not to have high expectations. I wasn't whining about it. Well, maybe I was a little, but I was whining to make a point.

Last year, I had a guy get hit with two helpings of DITR. He went from a 42 projected, to a 79 projected. It was awesome.

How about a DITR on already big league players? So my 80-90-90-90-80 guy can become 100 across the board.

Or a DITR on my #4 pitcher who then becomes a BL power 3BMAN.

ala Rick Ankiel.

Or how about that extra 1B/LF/C/DH that you have no room for on your BL squad turning into Roy Halladay?

I would be curious if anyone else has the same impression that I have:

The better the minor league coaching and the better the minor league "environment" the fewer DITRs and the less impact they have - intuitively I would have expected the opposite - anyone? - it is to the point I don't even bother to look at the new DITRs anymore

I believe that DitRs are just random and independent of coaching at any level, but I could be mistaken.

I think the teams get searched and if you have a tryout camp pitcher, he's your DITR.

I've had drafted and tryout players be DitR, so I don't think thats it.

It would be cool to have some of the better players get a bump in just a few categories instead of an overall increase. Your good pitcher becomes a little bit better because he adds a pitch. An infielder gets a bump in his range.

Your best slugger happens to get a bump in his baserunning and makes him into a 40/40 guy

Maybe a DITR where the player goes from 6'1" to 6'4".
