to be clear for myself, when is this going into effect? and there won't be anymore reduction in rewards for DII?

They do allow you to purchase GC's with RP.
Really? You mean in the new system
You have been able to do it for quite a while.

From what I heard, he is looking to get it rolled out before the beta test is even finished which would mean soonish (couple weeks?) but won't start until seasons finish up the season and start fresh - not sure why. For instance, if it was rolled out tomorrow my iba team that just started conf games would get reduced points until next season. And as already mentioned it means no reductions for any division.

The bad is, they will expire. How fast is still TBA.

He has already mentioned rolling out pieces of this update at a time, not all at once once beta is done and this is just another piece to the big puzzle.

This would be pure awesomeness.

Eh? I must be missing something. I see nothing that allows purchase of GC, I see single season and 5 packs, but nothing that offers a converstion to GC cash...

You just need to go purchase a GC, the option is right there.

Ah, through gift certs. When you say GC I read game credit, not gift certificate. Either way, you are still with a carryover that you can only top off with a NC run. A gift certificate is 3000 for $20, so unless you have RP in multiples of 3000, you are going to have a carryover that is useless until your next NC run.

For the record, and I know I'll be cruicified by some, I still don't think D3 or D2 rewards should be the equal of D1. It's just tougher to keep succeeding in D1. Better rewards, yes; equal, no.

So? What point does that make? None. People choose not to play the full version of the game, they shouldn't expect full rewards. Simple as that. Isn't any reflection on talent, it's inherient to the game that D1 is more difficult and more complex. It isn't the same game.
