FWIW, his SOS is doubly worse than any of the #1 seeds as well as the other #2 seed listed and that has a major impact. His non-con was very solid but his conference is incredibly weak. The fact remains that he doesn't/didn't have a #1 seed RPI (6th) in a seeding system that highly favors RPI, thus like I said, given the format, its rather unsurprising.

It makes sense to me. Did George Washington go 28-2 or something a few years ago and get an 8 seed?

Who should have been dropped from the 1 line to make room for the 29-0 team with a 70 SOS.?

The 28-1 team with a better rpi and sos?

All of the #1 seeds had better RPI and better SOS than this team, all of them had gone 10-0 in the their last 10 games, its hard to kick them off the one line for playing tougher schedules and not going undefeated.

Not that W.Washington didn't try with that noncon schedule, its just their conference is weak.
