I assume we're going to run this league through the '09-10 season. Am I correct in assuming this? I don't want to draft a guy based on the '09-10 season if we don't play it.

Correct. We will play thru the 09-10 season - which will be the last season for this league since once we complete that season the 10-11 season won't be in the WIS database (or even started in RL most likely).

Any thoughts on turning around and regressing with the same roster? Probably would have been a good idea if we were prepared for it.

Tell me something, since I seem to suck at the Basketball sim, why did Mayo go so late? He was at the top of my list, if it weren't for the fact that I needed a big man so bad.

I think after the first guy or two it usually comes down to matter of need or a particular preference between players as most classes have a clear cut #1 pick and usually a fairly obvious #2 player. I also believe that since you're only going to get 2 seasons out of this season's draft class a matter of preference/team need becomes even more prevalent. In addition, I think this draft is a bit of an anomaly, in that, it has so many high salaried rookie seasons.

I was thinking about trading up to get him but he really isn't all that great (last year or this). He plays a ton of minutes but when there are 30 NBA teams split amongst 24 WIS teams minutes shouldn't be a concern. Especially since he only is 100% at sg. His per minute numbers really aren't that special.

In my opinion Lopez, Love, Gasol, Westbrook are no brainers above him and Rose is pretty close to a no brainer depending on your needs of course. Thompson maybe too.

I thought we were planned on restarting with the 88-89 season for a V2 of the league after the 09-10 season.

I am in a progressive baseball league and we've progressed to the current season. In fact we did that at the end of the 2008 season. A majority of the owners agreed to keep the league going by drafting after each new season in real life baseball. So, at the end of the 2008 baseball (both sim and real life), we waited until after the 2009 real life baseball season was complete, then held our draft. Unfortunately, we need to wait until the following season but it was fun nonetheless.
