I don't think he really got the 28 votes because that means the other player really got 52, which is impossible. At the end of the day he shouldn't have gotten in, but i agree with sander that he was HOF worthy anyway.

well you guys might agree he was hall worthy but there are apparently 18 (assuming everyone even voted) others in your league who disagree. hope that doesn't happen in any of my worlds.

i wonder if someone put up a big stink about it in your world if they could/would remove the player from the hall?

Just happened in Robinson. We had 3 guys inducted, all 3 were double nominated and had their stats/voted doubled. Bucky Catalanotto got 34 votes (should be 17- in by the skin of his teeth), and Marquis Lowe and Willie Molina each picked up 28 votes (should be 14), and got in by the bug/error.

File a ticket.

Not sure if this qualifies as a "bug", but.....

In Happy Jack we had TWO auto-nominations upon their retirements at the end of the FA period, about a cycle before voting ended.

Both deserved serious consideration for the HOF, but hardly anyone noticed they were nominated, so neither got a sniff.

Totally whiffed it.

Although, should they be available for voting that soon after retiring?

Is this one ever going to get fixed? World Kinsella just had its first HOF results. Luckily, our guy actually received 22 votes and belonged in the Hall.

1530 Homer had a guy elected with simmy and user votes counted each. a ticket to CS quickly resolved the issue as the player was removed, but no the issue is not resolved to my knowledge.

Same thing just happened in Cooperstown.

Why would they thank you if it's already a known issue? Haven't you just wasted their time?
