You remind me of a bully in 6th grade who would always push around the winner of the spelling bee and call them ugly names.

If someone has a better idea than you just admit it and jump in to help. No need to call people names because you have nothing else to say for what you believe in.

There are alot of cameras around so they might as well make a sign in hopes that their deranged message will someone get out. He is a white Rev. Wright coming from the opposite direction. We also have people peacfully supporting tea party rallies like the man with his 2 year old in his arms. While a CNN reporter tells him he is anti-CNN, anti-government, and anti-family. No doubt you will have more negative pictures of Tea Party protestors than anti-Tea Party protestors. Why? Two reasons. 1.Tea Party supporters out number their protestors 1000:1. 2. anti-Tea Party people are usually the ones with the video camera. Reporters. Journalist.

For the most part I think this is all true...and regrettable. But don't discount the role that Fox has played in supporting/televising them, either.

Dear God. At least swamp doesn't have kids.

I guess including himself mostlikely. Its a very ugly word to use, but it doesnt mean that he is a racist. It does mean he is insensitive in the way he uses the word.

I'm assuming the implication is supposed to be Taxpayer = Slave, but maybe not. So much of what comes out of the Tea Parties seems to be just barely coherent anger and frustration.

Insensitive is probably a good way to put it. I don't think more than a small fraction of people are genuinely racist, but there's a big gray area of people who have never interacted socially with anyone not 'like them', and who were brought up to not even think about the implications of some of the language they use. It's a blind spot, not a manifestation of evil.

My 16 year old is trying to get his principal to give him credit if he misses school on the 15th to observe the Tea Party tax protesters if he writes a small essay. I told him that is the only way that I would let him miss school that day.

A brilliant observation.

A modest proposal: no one displaying the Confederate flag gets to lecture any American about patriotism - ever. Ditto for anyone trafficking in Confederate nostalgia as a political strategy. Of course, that new red, white and blue rule would pose a problem for today's Republican Party. After all, Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell, the same man who delivered the GOP s response to President Obama's 2010 State of the Union, this week resurrected " Confederate History Month" in Richmond. And to be sure, when it comes to flying the Stars and Bars and talking up secession, nullification and "the war of Yankee aggression," McDonnell has plenty of company among the leading lights of the Republican Party.

Apparently reading comprehension and spelling were not your strongest subjects? Not sure who "McCane" and "Palan" are. He said you "reminded" him of such a person, not that you were actually doing those things (at least not in this forum). Glad to see that Nick has a protege for the "who can be the rudest and crudest" award in this forum.
4/7/2010 7:16 PM
Err, that is nick, isn't it?
4/7/2010 7:18 PM
Yes it is and I have never tried to keep it a secret. As a matter of fact I tried to be sure everyone knew. As far as "who can be the rudest and crudest" remark, I admit to rude, as a matter of fact I take pride in it. BUT CRUDE? as long as swamp is here that is way out of reach.
4/7/2010 7:41 PM
Ahh - my bad - not here enough to know the alter egos.

And you just keep screaming your insane rhetoric.

The right is on the move. You guys turned a real dislike for Republicans into a return to a pure hatred for all ideas liberal. You guys even needed to change the name of what you believe from liberal to progressive so people might get confused!

Obama is the Jimmy Carter of his time. A loser y who is uniting America behind solid Conservative beliefs!

Just like the Democrats got used to losing to Bush. No Democrat would ever bring up the 2000 election again and claim Bush actually lost. Or that Bush stole the election. No Democrat would ever do that almost 10 years after it happened.
