Has anyone seen a ++ play for a 1b making a pick out of the dirt? Or for a 1b catching an off the mark throw and making the tag on the base runner?

I haven't, but then again I generally play guys with garbage defense at 1B.

I recently experimented in Low A to see the effectiveness of 'Range' on catchers...I put a SS with 70 range in to replace my C with 9 range. The C with 9 range had 7 PBs in roughly 150 ABs, while the SS with 70 range had 9 PBs in roughly 250. It may seem kind of pointless, but I was curious. Maybe I'll do the same with moving a SS to 1B to see if ++ plays for 1B can happen.
