My guess would be Eckersley `90. He used to be over $60K/IP, and he still must be over $50K/IP, even since his repricing at the last update. Someone like Neftali Feliz must be well over $50K/IP, and I think Mike Adams is right up there, too. You asked for guesses (plural), so you got guesses (plural).

It's likely some pitcher who is a great hitter.

Adams is expensive, but I think your evaluation of him is a bit rash, thurst. RPs stats can get skewed by one bad outing, especially a guy like Adams who has such limited use. Kind of like the Eck discussions. I can't see using him at 80m.

Maybe you had his PC too low. I've used him a few times in higher caps and he has been appropriately dominant.

thurst, I agree completely. That is the problem with using guys with high $/IP in OLs, they have to do what you expect, or you are dead. I have had average seasons from '95 Maddux and various iterations of Pedro, but I only use them in higher cap leagues where we have other "stud" pitchers as well, who may pick up the slack. In an OL, all of the top choices in this thread are, IMO, too expensive. Although, when these guys are good, they are very, very good. We all would like our chances if we entered the playoffs with a rested '95 maddux, '00 Martinez and '09 Adams on our side.

I wonder about some hidden fatigue factor that affects those low inning starters. I have had some bad luck in the WS with '96 maddux and '00 Martinez, after they had gotten me there...but in 100m caps, or higher.

yes this was $80mil open and there rest was 100% plus 0% on arrow over.They where in top shape some time bad things just happen.
