A guy who played 42 Mins in a double over time game shouldn't play as good the next game compared to a guy who only had to play 18 in a 35 point blow out win.
This. Wouldn't be that hard to program - your health drops two points for every 2 minutes you play over 35 - either. But it's not a priority.

If we must have injuries in this game I'd hope that somehow the serious ones are eliminated.

If a player drops to 30 and improves 3-4 points a practice, he's roughly out 12-14 games. Even if he improves at 5-6 points a day, he's still out 8-10. With the current criteria for job hirings and the most recent season being such a huge factor, that single injury can be a resume destroyer. Better luck next time.

Make the injuries minor ones. I don't look at an injury with the health dropping to 80 being a major concern. That's a coaches decision whether to sit or play him.

Or, if a player drops to 30, I'd like to see a much quicker recovery rate. Maybe 10-20 a day. That way the player still misses time (which pleases the realists) but it's not a season killer.

Yes we do, which is why injuries are in the game
I'm not sure what that means. We pay to play an online simulation game, thus the game should have injuries? Logic check.

Anyway, fair enough, wronoj and reinsel, good points. I'll never like it, and if they have to do it, then I'm with Iguana, but I understand why some people like it.

I dropped 2 games this year when one of my 2 star players went down with an injury. It was tough to overcome (since I am not near as good or deep as in previous years), but it allowed me to see other guys that could step up in that role - just like in real life.

In hindsight, I think it was cool to have to overcome and deal with the injury. It probably made my team better in the long haul too.

I like Iguana's idea too. I think having a guy fall to 30 and miss 3 games, then have the decision on health vs PT in say game 4 or 5 seems like a solid compromise between nothing and season-enders.

And then durability could be the differentiator between 3 and 6 games missed.
