For that matter though, a stable platform can indeed require occasional tweaks. So your entire premise is flawed.

If the tweaks keep coming and don't stop for a couple of weeks, I might come around to the viewpoint that seble doesn't really know what he's doing. Right now, though, you sound hysterical

Ah, really? Once again you make blanket statements with no support. One world had their exhibition games rolled back. Two worlds had their start date pushed back; A Third world had two rounds of their national tournament replayed and an update less than two weeks after the release just changed about 7 different things under the guise of "minor tweaks". That doesnt even take into account the other day-to-day things, like PbP issues, rankings issues (Ironically these are what minor tweaks would be)/ and what not which Seble has been correcting since May 12.

Whatever, dude you once again, have take a position, dug your feet in the ground and will not stand by it regardless. That is laughable.

Not all of those things were on the new engine.

The NT problem, specifically, was the old engine. You are not even thinking about this clearly before you overreact.

Seven things changing doesn't make it NOT tweaks. IF the degree of change isn't large, then they are, indeed, tweaks. If you change seven things by two percent, you are 'tweaking',

Some exhibition games were rolled back ... OMFG ... the F'ing sky is falling.

WTF is WRONG with you?

Seble tried to do beta testing to get things right but not everybody who signed up for it participated as they should. When you really look at things the problems are minimal, it's not like there are some egregious errors like PGs with 1 blk rating getting 3 blocks a game or a 1 per center taking 5 3s a game and shooting 40%. It's things that can be fixed rather easily as was shown in the last update with minor tweaks being made to a few different things, it's really not that big of a deal.

This was 100% the fault of WIS.

Why is that? I didn't take part in beta testing so I have no idea what went on with that world

There were huge delays between events. We would go days without recruiting, playing games or anything. Then all of a sudden 5 games would sim. It wasnt like a real world where you had games once or twice a day. The schedule was fluctuating and the communication was awful.

Most coaches stopped participating because they had no idea what was going on.
5/28/2010 12:00 PM
Allot of people didn't bother participating because the schedule wasn't regular and predictable.
5/28/2010 12:01 PM
OK ... so sully, we have established that you think WIS is broken beyond repair. Then why are you still playing?

That was all one thing.

You mean Knight, which was playing under the old engine at the time?

You really are hysterical.

Sebles said the Knight issue was related to the new programming...it was a new programming thing in the old engine...

Ok. SO bits of new code interacted strangely with a season of the old engine. WHat amount of Beta testing was going to catch THAT? And how much time should have been spent in BETA testing for the new engine looking for that?
