Yeah, because threads as brilliant as this one demand insightful commentary, and not snarky dismissals highlighting the fact that since the new engine launched you've displayed all the patience of a fruit fly on poppers
Apparently, this was the thread in which you were compelled to respond after being told by Lost in another that you were wrong in your assumptions; you were wrong about people leaving; you were wrong about problems with the engine; and you are against anyone voicing an opinion contrary to your own...when they do you become insulting and dismissive.

mmt, we're two weeks into the new engine, and you make a post talking about how patient you've been with seble but now you have no choice but to give up on him.

Two weeks.

Your lack of self-awareness is simply funny. Sorry if that offends you.

Your inability to see gray and to be limited to black and white astonishes me.

Lets say a guy was getting out of jail and for months people in the community he was expected to land in spoke out against him but you were the one to defend him for 6 months while the town awaiting him; but then on the day he arrives to town, he shoots up the local diner and then smacks you across the face...would you really need more time?

Yes, it is possible for me to defend the guy, for him to then put out a product which was not properly beta tested AND for me to be annoyed with the resulting product because I know it wasnt released properly.

Spare me with the remainder of your comments.

On an unrelated issue, kudos to WIS customer service for dealing with a much more important issue (and resoliving it) in all of 7 minutes.

Yeah, that's exactly what it's like.

(Aw, crap, there's no little eye-rolling emoticon. Bummer.)

Listen, drama queen, why don't you just curl up with a big tub of low fat Haagen-Daz and re-watch your Twilight DVDs to help you get through the horrible trauma of having seble shoot up your favorite greasy spoon and punch you in the face... err, I mean, not get the new engine 100% perfect quickly enough to suit you.

I can't believe that people are still complaining about the beta testing. There were 2 causes for the "failure" of the beta testing:

1. They didn't run it on the primary servers. THey could have run a much better schedule had they shut down the game for a month or 2 to beta test the new engine. Would you have liked that better? I seriously doubt it.

2. Nobody paid the same kind of attention that they do when it counts. Case in point, the problems with the PBP that arose immediately upon the new engine applying to active worlds. Obviously nobody was seriously and thoroughly reading the play-by-plays in the test world. No amount of beta testing would add that kind of incentive that can be gained by having it count.

I'd love to hear why there was no schedule for beta testing, or why games wouldnt be simmed for weeks on end but suddenly without notice 10 games would be simmed in two days or why even though the test seemed to be set up for 5 seasons it was rushed out without completing two and so on. Id like to know how he justifies charging customers to test the game. He doesnt wanna answer thats his perogative, but I will keep demanding those answers in the meantime
I certainly didn't mean to imply that you don't have the right to post. What I meant to imply was that your method (singling out the developer as a "failure") strikes me as immature and not likely to be taken seriously by the person you seem to be seeking answers from. If I were Seble, I wouldn't have even made it through the first post in this thread.

1 - At a guess, I'd say it was because he was the only one working on it. One person can't write new code essentially from scratch and consistently maintain a test server.

2 - I realize this idea has been floating around for a while now, and I'm probably guilty of propagating it too, but seriously -- what we're doing right now is nothing like doing testing. What happened at the beginning of the Allen/Smith season, where the first exhibition game was played and then scrubbed -- OK, sure, that's very much like a testing environment. But the two weeks since, no.

3 - You don't seem particularly interested in getting answers. You've already made up your mind that seble is a total fail and that HD is now crap.
