Game credits - Seble? Topic

I really don't see how this is so difficult for some people to get BUT:

1) People haven't quit/ yet because we are in the middle of seasons OR have credits remaining;

2) I think the point of this thread is basically what others have stated; if we're going to throw seasons away and essentially test this game for them; dont make the users waste their money;

How difficult is it to understand that people are ****** off about the process and the way the game was released. You guys who defend the engine/release/whatever make it sound as though those of us who are complaining were of the opinion that the new engine would be released and everything would be copasetic.

I don't think I've ever said that those were my expectations and I don't think Iv'e read a comment from anyone else who said those were their expecations.

The general attitidue has been:

a) We were all very patient while we waited for the new engine. There were the occasional threads questioning what was going on etc (since WIS didnt provide updates really) but the general attitude was we'll wait just get it right;

b) They set up a beta test which without getting into it, the GENERAL consensous was that it was a fail;

c) They roll out an incomplete product with major faults and are charging customers to test it for them. Maybe these faults arent as extreme as some would suggest like a C shooting 10-10 from 3PA or a 362-17 score...but nonetheless there are enough flaws in the basic gameplay where the seasons played thusfar have been throwaways.

These are the basic complaints. Why beta test if you arent going to do it properly...And I get that some of the logistics might be technically above our non programming heads but here are some simplistic things having nothing to do with programming:

1) They set the Beta Test for 5 seasons - How about actually going through with all five seasons?

2) Set a schedule that is known to the testers and stick to it. How difficult is it...Apparently from what I gather; Seble would Sim some game then literally pause the engine and not sim games for another month. He would not let anyone know when games were being simulated and when they wouldnt be. All they needed to do to prevent more than half their beta testers from quitting is make a schedule and stick to it. If necessary take long breaks between seasons to work on quirks.

3) According to a veteran coach who stuck through the testing the engine is playing as it did in testing had they stuck to the schedule coaches wouldnt have quit the beta and many of these issues couldve been worked on. How could they possibly release the game knowing that the Home v. Away results would be so dramtic there have been numerous swings of over 70 points between home and away; The three point %s are completely out of whack as are the attempts; The lockdown defender thing doesnt work I have my main guys scoring at will regardless of who is defending them and Im also seeing other teams light up my best defender; Fouls are occuring at an alarming rate and stamina doesnt seem to be correlated to fatigue. The new engine isnt even simming games at the normal time and so on...these are all issues that if they are as small as people claim could have and should have been worked out. To me and others however, they are not small issues as they (aside from the time of sim) affect the actual gameplay.

You then get NO EXPLANATION from CS or Seble and the only commentary we've received is "please give us links to games with problems and specific issues" and "sorry games are simming late, we don't know why."

Sorry for the long post...but some of the commentary (including my own) has been redundant some of it spread across various forums; and like I've said while I understand those of you who want to accept these things and move on there is a large voice of those of us who feel we are owed some sort of explanation/compensation etc. specifically considering how long we've all been customers.

You guys have your heads in the clouds if you actually think seble is going to respond here. Send in a customer service support ticket if you actually want an answer.

From CS:

I understand your frustrations. At this time we aren't planning any further credits.

Nah. Just that we be compensated for doing their work for them.

reading boxscores is work?

I'll add somemore sunshine to this topic (new engine).

Absolutely NO testing has been done with the new generation recruits. (IE - guards with high LP skills). What do you think their shooting %s will look like?

Yes there was? The beta ran into 3 seasons and many of the new players had these skills.

You must have your head somewhere other than the clouds if you think CS is going to respond with something other than their usual vague/blanket response.

Obviously for CS it is, and even that didn't get done properly.

Well, considering you've probably done about 5 minutes of real testing, I'd say a $5 expiring credit is a hell of a deal for you. $60/hour is nothing to sneeze at.

Jesus, but you are a drama queen.

If you feel like the season's a waste, stop trying to win games and do something vaguely useful instead of being a WATB. Start using a defense you have F IQs in at +5, set all your players's three-point tendency to +2, and then report the results to seble.
