Even with Reggie scoring 8, and an even better example by Tracy McGrady scoring 14 in about 28 Seconds... that's still not 30 in a Minute between 2 teams.

Honestly hughes, when you try to justify every crazy result that's thrown out there it completely destroys your credibility. Hopefully you're understanding that very few are taking your posts seriously at this point, and that can't be your intent.

Well ... lets see.  You can't take one game, that CAN and HAS occurred in real NCAA basketball and say, this should never happen in HD, can you?

It should not happen often. but if it happens at all in real life, then it should also happen infrequently in HD, shouldn't it?

I mean, we are simulating NCAA basketball, are we not?

You can take or not take it seriously, your choice.

  Hughes, I agree to a point.  I have no problems with the Fouls, really.  I can see that happening.  I can fathom the FTs Attempted, especially if you are actually hitting your shots to keep the come back legit (as this team was in HD) or the other team is missing those FTs (the other team wasn't). 

  But 30 Points in 1 Minute?  Thats 1 Point every 2 Seconds.  Sure, clock stops for FTs, but you still got to get the ball in to get fouled and that alone will tick some time off the clock.  And the one team was hitting ACTUAL SHOTS, so even if they ran down and flogged it we are still talking 3-5 seconds for each Possesion.  That's a bit hard to dream up.  I know Reggie killing the Knicks, and I even cited McGrady as a Rocket.  Both were unreal performances, that were REAL!  Amazing stuff.  But neither of those had 2 Teams combining for 30 in 1 Minute, even with those Individuals doing such amazing things.  Reggie got his because the Knicks kept passing him the Ball on the Inbounds.  Tracey got his due to bad, quick shots by the opposing team to start and then some crazy defense once it was closer... not to mention some amazing skill putting the ball in the basket by McGrady.  In cases where 1 Guy scores that fast, that quick, the other team usually isn't doing a good job of scoring.

  Still, you make a valid point about the FTs/Fouls.  It HAS happened in RL, so why not here?

  Fast Break needs to be tweaked as well.  There is no such thing as a Slow Down Fast Break.  The only Tempo Option for FB should be Uptempo.

This is NOT about one game or one example.

It is about the fact that you consistently, time-after-time defend ever result posted, no matter how egregious or ridiculous. When you do that and it becomes such an obvious, consistent pattern, you lose credibility, which is what has happened to you.

If you think this is about one particular instance or example, you're not getting my point.

The engine will not allow you to play slowdown fastbreak.

He wasn't TRYING to justify, he WAS justifying it.

It CAN happen, so then, unless it can be shown that its happening at a really unusual rate, it IS justified.

Ok, it was 29 points by both teams.  17 points by 1 team and 12 by the other.

The team that hit 17 hit (5) 3 pointers and 2 free throws, the other team had 12 points on free throws.

I agree that there were too many 3 second possessions ... there should not be quite that many.

But if you look at the timing, it was possible ... not probable (certainly) ... but not impossible.

Did I say it made sense ... I said, indeed, that is was improbable.  Can you not read?

I also said it was not impossible.

Read the PBP, look at the times, see if it is possible.

You're so fond of finding crazy, one-off instances from real life to justify results that happen with relative regularity? 

Show me the one time --- ONE, EVER -- that shows 30 pts in one minute.

When talking about how often something happens in the sim, remember the denominator as well as the numerator. . .
