Looks like the increased fouls might make the fastbreak competitive. It has a long way to go before it could become dominant.

on a larger sample size (full regular season + conference tourney) , my D-II FCP/ FB team comes in as follows using your formula.

23 fouls drawn, 27 FTAs, 82 possessions per game.  And I even ran all season on uptempo.  My totals are much lower than yours, so it may not be the magic bullet quite yet.
My SOS was 32 and RPI 5.  I'd be curious about the quality of the teams you played.  If you were significantly better, you should draw more fouls.

I run the FB and I wouldn't call it a magic set, but I think the increased number of fouls have taken out the randomness of it. In the old engine I would have tons of TO's some games that would cause me to lose to some pretty crappy teams. I still have games with high TO's but they are followed by high foul totals when I play these teams. So, the chance of getting upset is closer to the other sets than what it previously was.

My team only won 2 games running the fastbreak offense, of course I had 9 Freshman/3 walkons on the team so that could have been a factor.  What type of defense do you all run when you run the fastbreak offense?   I've ran a fullcourt press, and with the lack of depth my team died by the end of the game.

This last season which was my first in the new engine I certainly noticed a difference in total points scored.  I had used FB very successfully in the old engine, but the increased number of foul shots seemed to be pretty much responsible for an extra 8-10 points per game for me.
