ATH vs SPD for a SF Topic

How does the rest of your team look?  Do you have rebounding from your guards?  Do you need the extra perimeter shooter?  What do your bigmen look like - are they REB/DEF specialists w/ not great LP?

Also - what are the resepective FT%s for your 2 SFs?
No REB from my guards, but I've got a strong starting C and PF as far as REB. The four big men in my rotation average a 66 REB, 62 DEF and 50 LP. Overall, I could probably use addl PER more than addl LP, but it's close either way.

As far as FT%, the high-ath freshman SF is a better free-throw shooter than the high-speed junior SF, and will continue to be.

You didn't mention before that one was a junior.  Knowing that I'd like to know how good they are overall.  If they're good, you should take the freshman.  If they're both kinda mediocre, take the junior you only need to use a scholarship on for 2 years.  Incidentally, 66 average REB is not particularly good.  My bigs on Rochester have a normalized (by minutes played) average of 76.7 and we're barely outrebounding a fairly weak schedule so far.

Yeah dahsdebater, my initial question was just about ATH vs SPD in general for SF's, because I'd heard conflicting statements and wanted to recruit better in the future. In my specific situation right now, I've already got both guys on my team and I'm trying to decide on playing time. I'm going to give more PT to the high-ATH frosh unless there's a huge advantage to SPD, because (a) he's got much, much more upside and (b) he has a really low WE and I want to try my best to raise it.

As far as my rebounding, you're right that it's not an exceptional REB average, but I've still been dead-even in REB vs. a top-15 non-conf schedule, so it's not my biggest concern. (My bigs also have better ATH avgs than yours, which might be making a difference.) Plus I have a RS who's going to come in as a freshman for me next year with a 70+ REB / 50+ ATH.
