Those players do improve:  The RATING doesn't improve, but their IQ improving makes them perform it better.  Does it matter if the skill called "Per" improves if the shooting percentage improves?

it's fairly realistic. How many PF's develop good jump shots after they get to college?
Well, plenty of big men develop jumpers. Heck, plenty of them continue to improve significantly in that aspect even after they get to the pros.

But he's not even talking about turning the guy into a good jump shooter. He's talking about being able to eek out any improvement whatsoever.
My beef was about a talented 18yo, not being able to improve his jump shot one iota when coming to a major basketball program.  (Not even a scintilla.)

Why pj and others want to cast that as wanting, and expecting, a whole lot more than that is between the critic, his shrink, and his Hooked on Phonics library.

** Not to mention how my asst coach can know (or settle for) that so quickly.  He might be tapped out, too!

In RL mid majors are taking guards with 55 BH and Passing cores and improving them to 75-80 on average.

A little off topic, but I'm starting to question the importance of IQ.  I had a PG on my Post team in Rupp foul out last night although he's got an 81 Spd, 62 Def, and A+ IQ.  No big deal, it happens right?  But how often does it happens in EIGHT ******* MINUTES?  That's right, in 8 minutes my A+ IQ PG managed to commit five fouls.  Just ridiculous.

Of course, the fact that his name is actually "Percy" should be worth about 2 fouls before the game even starts...........
