I wish the other owners in my league were as rational as you timeprime.

I have had several people have the same issue.. They end up returning but they gave the heads up that they may not be able to afford it.  If the commish can't understand that life happens and wants to proceed with the other owner then to me he's a douchebag.. This is not a BUSINESS.. You can have a heart and care about others when they are having problems.
Couple of things:
1.  The commish has a responsibility to 31 people not one.
2.  People lie.
3.  As I said before, someone isn't going to be happy.   The commish has to decide between the guy who said "I won't be back" and the guy who said "I want in".

Personally, I've offered to front owners a team while they got their affairs in order so they wouldn't have to leave.   I've also said "Sorry to hear that.  If things change, you're welcome to come back."  And, lastly, "Good luck with your personal issues.   It's been good having you in this world."    Every situation is different.   It's should be pretty difficult to take a stance like you have without knowing more.

But, here you are taking a stance....

Geeezzzuuusss, it's not that hard.

"I'm leaving".

End of story. There is now an opening in the league. If things turn around, feel free to reapply. If your spot is taken, try again next year.
I'm not sure why there's an argument (other than, "it's the opposite of Mike's view") for allowing him back in ahead of his replacement. It's not being mean.

I call it "moving forward".

The way I read it, tanner gave the commish warning, saying, "Hey I wont be back next season, go ahead and plan to fill my opening". I dont believe he ever gave the OK to be replaced before rollover.

If he didn't give explicit permission, he should not have been replaced.

As commish, if someone says, "I dont have time for this team, please replace me ASAP", I will do just that. But if they say, "I'm not going to return next season", I'll ask if they want to be replaced right now, or after the season. He paid for the team, he gets to decide his own fate.

I cant believe WIS would replace an owner before rollover without his approval. Thats just wrong.

Where is the world now in its schedule?

Has it rolled?

Were you removed before rollover? Or did someone take your team after rollover?

smoel/pb... that was my question back on the last page.  It seems that he didn't re-up, and then was ****** off that his team was given to someone else once he scrounged enough coin together to get a team.

Here's a question: if an owner indicates that he plans to re-up, but doesn't by the time rollover happens, yet has checked in every day after the WS ended and credits have been issued, how long should a commish feel obligated to "hold" his team before looking for a replacement?

I DID reup and the commish submitted a ticket to remove me and WIS did.

Whatever, to be honest the commish struck me is a little unbalanced mentally based on the way he reacted to the situation. Only reason I stuck around was to laugh at the way he reacted.

Though I still think its silly for WIS to remove owners and not inform them at all. Especially active ones who submit a ticket and ask why.

If you re-upped, you should have been able to stay.  The commish was off-base to have you removed, and so was WIS.

However, your reaction "only reason I stuck around was to laugh at the way he reacted" comes off as a bit childish.  Fight the fight if you feel justified in doing so, but do it maturely.

Did I read correct that you sent the commish a message partway into your first season that you weren't returning?

Here's what I would want to know before I make a full opinion:

1. Are you staying in other worlds despite money issues?
2. Are you planning on staying in that world after this next season?
3. Was this during your first season you said you wouldn't return?

If then you have to say "Yes, No, Yes"... I don't think you have much of a leg to stand on.

You re-upped, and WIS removed you? How did they justify this to you? You wanted to stay in a world, did not break any "fair play" guidelines... what the hell was their justification?

Something doesn't make sense.
