Strategy for slow team with high contact ratings Topic

High contact guys(80+) don't strike out that often in HBD.   Since it's not a pitch by pitch game, I think the strike 'em out, throw 'em out is less likely than in RL.

As for H&R plays in HBD, I can't believe it only pertains to the runner taking the extra base on a hit.   I have to believe it helps prevent DP.   I could be wrong.  But, nonetheless, the OP hits into a lot of DP.   Staying the course doesn't seem to be good advice when everyone can see why he's not scoring runs despite getting on base a lot.

And, for the record, I've never had a high contact/slow runner/poor baserunning team so I don't know if H&R is the best thing to do.   But, as I said, he's getting on base and not scoring runs.  He's also hitting into a lot of DP.   So, assuming no one lines up to trade with him(I'm always amazed with the "Just make some trades" advice.   Is trading that easy for everyone but me?), doing nothing isn't changing the results.

Thanks for the advice.  It is the Boston team and it does have power (hence third in OPS).  I have only missed the playoffs once in the world's first 11 seasons so I have not exactly been drafting early, so you build with what you can get later in the draft.
