Even when you get a message like "he's the favorite -- right now", there's still an element of a crapshoot. It might sometimes only cost $3-5K (for a local recruit), but I've also had multiple occasions where I spent $10K and didn't get the player. So the strategy does carry some clear risk.

It took 10 evals for 1 and 45 for the other.  Im definitly in the lead against the sim but neither have signed.  Should I be concerned

somewhat related question - what's the hierarchy for the word on the street?  my guess for highest to lowest . . .   very solid, high priority, very tight, low priority, definitely leaning towards, toss up, not sold, some attention   . . . . I get particularly confused at the high end.  Was it better for my recruit to be very *tight* with me, or *very* solid on me?  That kind of thing.   Can anyone help out?

Yeah lately I been looking for sims later in recruiting who are not 'tight' as they usually take 2-6k to pull down, and you don't have to worry much about other coaches tryin the same thing.
until this thread, eh?

I've had recruits go from "very solid" to "very tight" to a "high priority" back to "very solid" over a couple days without any additional recruiting effort.  Not sure if there is much, or any, difference in the top end messages.

XXXX seems to be *very* tight with him, according to our sources.

This is probably about as solid as you can get I think.

I just took a sim div I recruit with ease. I put 1,000 into him to pull him down, and then after 1 visit I got the scholarship message I was in the lead. FSS said he was tore between us, so I did 2 more visits and then he was highly considering me. After 3000 into him, he signed with ease. He was the #82 SF..

Potential

Potential     Current

Potential
Athleticism 82 Average   Perimeter 11 High
Speed 34 High   Ball Handling 47 High
Rebounding 31 High   Passing 33 Average
Defense 78 Average   Stamina 63 Average
Shot Blocking 22 High   Durability 42 Average
Low-post 30 High   FT Shooting   High

He ends up being high/high in speed, reb, and LP. The rest are just high, but he is possibly the best SF I ever recruited. At the start of recruiting I saw he wasn't a priority and it seriously look pretty much no effort to steal him. If he was undecided I would have likely had to put in over 10k battling a div I/Div II school so I felt it was worth it to go all in after I saw the FSS  message

How can I find out the difference between the High categories for my recruits?  It seems like all the evaluations I do always say the same message for each respective High category.
