Better scoring guard position - SG or PG? Topic

I mean we are splitting hairs but he didn't in college and it was always questionable.   What about the 5'7 guy who played on the Nuggets? Keith Boykins?  Is that right?  He was a monster in college and I don't think he shot much.  John Wall is another example.   Alot of guys in college score a ton w/o a jumper.

I don't remember Chris Jackson (from LSU) having a good jumper in college....

nor can I spell his Muslim name... but he did score 27 points while only shooting 36% from behind the arc....Kimbo Walker's stats are very similar

trust me when I say CJ  had a deadly jumper in college, esp. from deep.  He made All-American as a freshman and was SEC POY, too.  Lit up Florida and I think another team for 50 as a frosh.  He was really quick and almost never missed a FT either.

Edit:  Here's a link for Jackson's career stats, pro and college.  Scroll to the bottom to see his LSU stats.  His 3FG% was a bit lower than I remember, but in today's trumped up HD world, his 39% 3FG% would probably be more like 48%.

I HATE those players.  Hate them.  The reason being that I can't think of any RL player who scored 27 PPG - or anywhere in that stratosphere - solely on the strength of being fast and athletic.  Particularly anybody under 6 feet tall.  The only players who touch those kinds of scoring numbers have excellent skills in the low post or a solid jumpshot if not both.  And have to be decent handling the ball and fast as guards or very athletic and pretty fast in the post.
I think these players work better at D3, and probably not that great at D1. If we are gonna talk about realism, how often do you see a kid on the court that is 3x as fast as the guy guarding him?
