Ok, since we are still feeling this out, let me present the SYN league idea as it was originally done in the baseball format (modified for the difference is roster size):
1. you selected an actual historical team and chose 3 players off that team. (We did 5 in baseball.)
2. Another player selected an actual historical team and you had to roster 3 players off that team.
3. Still another player selected a team and you had to roster 3 players off that team.
4. Then, the dagger round occured and you lost a player. It could be anyone off the 3 franchises you had to work with, but you would still have to pick 3 players off each franchise.
5. finally you chose another actual franchise and selected 3 players off that team.
The reason this was done this way in the baseball format was because you had 25 man rosters and if you did it one player at a time it would take forever, but in basketball you only have 5 starters so you can do it player by player.
It is something to consider as we haven't done anything like this in the Basketball sim before, so we can experiment a little in the realm of terra incognita.
