Realism in recruit generation Topic

well maybe HD isn't as far off as I thought.  I guess I always hear about a guard from Cali going to Kansas or one of the Carolina schools (or a NYC kid ending up at Kentucky or the like) and it's clouded my logic.  My intuition says elite schools should be able to recruit cross-country somewhat effectively, but guess that would be hard to program.  At lower D1 tiers, maybe it is more local than I realized.  Guess I'll have to be more observant of this in real life to see if HD is realistic enough.

Recruiting is pretty local in real life.  My school, Wisconsin, pretty much recruitings WI/MN/IL just like in HD, though they get some guys from random places like Arizona every once in a while, which is unlike HD.
Just once, and he's not all that good.

Sorry, couldn't help myself.  Ryan Evans bugs me.

I think you also have to remember that real life budgets are not limited at major programs.  UNC can bring a kid in without worrying about its budget.  So from that perspective, I do think it's much easier to recruit nationally in real life.

One person coaching 2 teams in the same world isn't exactly realistic either.
