Correct on both.  I don't care how many seasons the veteran player actually played between the two seasons you selected as long as they are 10 years apart.  And yes, I meant player.

No "Easy" themes this year...I'm toast :P.

And I foresee a lot of Mr. Maddux in the 4 SP theme

The 120M theme is fairly easy, IMO.... not much different than a 120M "open" theme except you need a couple of .400 hitters (most 120M themes would have at least two .350 hitters anyway).

For 100m, is there any min/max to how many innings those four need to pitch?  Or is the only requirement that they have 150 IP/162 each and then they can be used however we like?

Better be sure you can find Chipper Jones if that's the case.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, here's the disappearing Chipper thread:

Also, proud to say my initial 4SP roster is Maddux-less (proud could turn to regretful very quickly).

I'd say the two hardest are actually the single-season team and the pitching and defense. The $$ caps for each of those are brutal considering the restrictions.

At $70 mil, it'll be tough stashing more than one or two $1 mil players on the bench. Can't waste money at that cap. Finding a single team with 6-7 solid WIS players, yikes.

And in the P/D league, defense is so darn expensive in this iteration of the SIM, every guy with any kind of hitting ability will cost you at least $5 mil. Kudos to schwarze for a $90 mil league concept where the Pedro, Maddux, Joss rotation might actually be too pricey.

Correct.  I never legislate usage during the WIS Champoinship tournament.  Way too much work.

This post has a rating of , which is below the default threshold.
Regarding the $90M Pitching and Defense league, one of the key rules is having to spend a minimum of $45M on pitchers.  So that leaves you with less than $45M on your hitting, which after factoring in backups, equates to a little over $5M per starting hitter.

For the $70M theme, the entire concept is to try and find a team where you can use eight guys over $1M, while still making the $70M cap.

In the $120 million league, is there a 300 K exception?  In the description you  make it sound like there is but towards the end you say: 300K Exception: None.

Crap, it looks like a contradiction.  Since it's in the description, it looks like I meant to include the 300K exception.  I will fix it.

Also for 100m, what about split season pitchers.  Say, '08 Sabathia, does he have both Brewers and Indians available or do you have to pick one?
6/3/2011 3:02 PM
You have to pick one.

for the 70 mil league when you say 8 players, is that 8 position players or 8 combination of pitchers, position players or whatever?
6/4/2011 2:32 PM
ah that 70mil league is a real headache...

Any combination of position players and pitchers.
