Very Democratic. Everyone who wants to speak can.

If you live in iowa you probably support the "Special interest" of corn. If you live in Detroit Cars. California Computers and Movies.

These "Special Interests" are run by people. They are supplied by people. They allow people to feed their families.

Explain why?

I refuse to let American Business be defined as evil? I refuse to let the democrats split America between rich and poor?

All the boogeymen the Dems are creating need to be stopped. We need to fix the problems of America with a clear minds and a good heart.

Getting their base fired up by promoting hate isnt going to help America!

This is all you have.

When Ronald Reagan was overseeing the biggest peace time expansion of the economy in history he was a hero. Now that it is 30 years ago you can claim that he dismantled the middle class.

When Everyone was doing great under Clinton he was a hero. No that people are a little fuzzy about his wife we can say that Nafta Destroyed the middle class.

All these lies about evil corporations. Bernie Sanders launching into a vile hate filled attack against Business men and Republicans on left wing talk radio. And of course no one in the media would ever dare respond to it and call BS!
7/5/2011 4:09 PM
What world do you live in swamp? Reagan was never a hero to me and yes, he did start the destruction of the middle class. Also you never heard me cheer Clinton. The day he forced NAFTA on us is when I realized he was no better then Ronny.

And let me tell you, as far as I am concerned Bernie Sanders is the only one telling the truth.

Now do me a favor, do not start a long conversation where you tell me I am wrong and then repeat the same thing over and over. You are an idiot and I am not interested in your weak opinions about anything.
7/5/2011 5:15 PM
So am I an idiot, or are you.

You think Clinton and Reagan are the same? What political scale puts both of them together. The one where everyone to the right of Bernie Sanders is in the same group. And that would put about 300 million Americans in that group.

The reduction of power of the middle class in America was a natural part of the global economy. After WWII we were the only standing economy. We sold to the world. As time went by and nations recovered and Asia expanded our ability to set world economic standards decreased. Americans wanted cheap products and we needed to get them.

So do me a favor and dont try to explain how much smarter than the rest of the country you are.

"The reduction of power of the middle class in America was a natural part of the global economy"

Sounds like you agree with me, capitalism is no longer a viable economic system!

Oh and, I may not be smarter then the rest of the country but compared to you I am a genius!

So how about an example of what actually is a viable economic system.  Maybe you can enlighten some of us.

It appears you have not been paying attention the last two years. I have never made it a secret, I am a socialist and have been since my undergrad days.
7/6/2011 11:21 AM
No I have not been paying attention the last two years because I never bothered to come to this part of the forums until the past couple of months.

Can you show me an example of a socialist system that is better than a capitalist one and why?
7/6/2011 1:05 PM
I have no intention of trying to convert you or any other member of the right as I consider you all lost causes. Since conversion is not my goal then explain to me why you think I should waste my time showing you examples of anything.

Tell swamp to fight his own battles.

I'm genuinely curious.  That's it.  You've asserted that capitalism "is no longer a viable economic system",  but won't talk about why you think that.

Do I lean to the right?  Of course.  You consider me a lost cause and you don't even know me.  If you are correct about which is the better system and why, I would think you would want persuade others, but if you choose not to, no big deal.  I'll probably still ask why whenever I see an assertion made.  In any case, what I generally see is that people are quick to toss around assertions without backup and badmouth anyone who doesn't agree with them.  If you've made your case in another thread, link it.  I'd be interested.
