That is correct-the team should be St. Louis Hawks. Pettit is my favorite player-greatly underrated.

Actually, that's an oversight on your part. The Hawks played in Atlanta during the '68-'69 season, so it's no different than the option for the Pipers, should someone choose them. My pick stands... Atlanta Hawks.

Looked it up and you are right, I apologize. It's a damn shame though, the Hawks should have never left St. Louis. This is good though, I can still take the St. Louis Hawks if it gets to me.

Actually, since it's the same franchise, you can't. I'll trade you the rights to the St. Louis Hawks in exchange for swapping draft positions in the player draft, though.

I'll take the Cincinnati Royals.

And I agree with dspahlingers's observations about Pettit...what a great player. Tremendous rebounder, especially for his size, and probably one of the smartest players to ever play the game.

luvyablue and I are discussing a swap, my second team pick for his second team pick, meaning we would also swap my 1st pick slot in the player draft for his 1st pick slot in the player draft. Trying to confirm this with blue to make sure we're on the same page. 

Can't believe I forgot the Hawks moved to Atlanta in 68/69-thought it was later than that. I grew up in St. Louis but had moved to LA by 68. Pettit was only second to Musial among sports figures in St. Louis and they were my favorite basketball and baseball players.

I have effectively relinquished the rights to first team pick (3rd overall, which is also the #22 player pick), meaning that luvyablue now has rights to the Hawks franchise, which he intends to keep in St. Louis. In return for swapping that team pick to him, I receive his pick #6 player pick (which is also the #19 team pick).

Now, with my #5 team pick I select the Boston Celtics.

And yes, Stan Musial was indeed the Man.

a trade for a team name, that seemed pointless..

I was assuming the trade would be for the entire draft.(i.e. I would have the 22nd Pick in the 1st Round and the 3rd pick in the 2nd Round) and  I have notified kilgore and if he see otherwise the trade will be void and he can keep the Hawks in Atlanta. Waiting to hear back.

Just received a confirming site mail from kilgore and forwarded it to dsphlinger, we will be swapping positions for the entire draft. The Hawks will be staying in St. Louis.
