Thanks for all the tips!  I do have one more question to add.  How long after signings begin do recruits accept scholorship offers?  I thought I remembered reading it somewhere but can't remember where or when.

They accept/decline the offers until they sign somewhere or recruiting ends.

I'm coaching in Division III, what are the odds of landing a DI-A type of player - maybe even someone that's ranked?

Slim and none - and slim just left the building. DI-A players are like supermodels - most won't even acknowledge your existence. Save your money for the players that you actually have a shot with.

If they don't show in your D3 search, you can't sign them. For more on vision, check out the pinned "GD's Guide to the Game" thread at the top of the forum. On the first page, yatzr explains it really well.
