The player's gone forever.  I mean, he asked for (and took) a ******* car.
lol, what a shame

i think he should be able to transfer next season or something to avoid the complete elimination of his existence

think korie lucious...

There has been worse in WIS history than a player just 'disappearing'...

My question is what's it take to get a post season ban around here? heh

Not sure exactly what you mean here backboy13.  To my knowledge, lucious did nothing against NCAA rules to get him dismissed from MSU, he simply was kicked for "conduct unbecoming the team".  So Lucious transferring was not an issue for a school willing to take a chance / give him a second chance.

Francis' permanent ban from WCAA hoops seems appropriate to me, as this seems to be what would occur in the NCAA if a kid accepted a car (can't think of the name, but wasn't there an Ohio State RB who IIRC did something similar, was ruled ineligible, and then went to the NFL draft).

groomsie, I disagree with you here, simply because the fake players can't control the real coaches giving them booster gifts. Much different from real life, where the recruit in question has free will.

(cue cornfused saying, "he was practically begging for that Range Rover!")

girt, that's not necessarily true is it? I've had kids refuse gifts and tell me they were gonna narc - I mean, a friend  has had kids return gifts...

No wonder players don't take gifts easily!  If a coach gets caught, slap on the wrist.  If a player gets caught. . EXTERMINATE EXTERMINATE!!!

Yeah, just a necro-update on this: players can and do refuse gifts.

Also, he WAS practically begging for that Range Rover.  Gave him a throwback jersey and his response was something including:

1. Thanks!
2. I like that we think along the same lines, coach... we both know college hoops ain't nothing but a bizness*.
3. But this isn't enough - you can do better.  Go big or go home, boss man.

*this is close to the actual wording.

Thanks for the update, Cornipari.

Is this game like Tron? If so, I hope Francis gets drafted at the end of the season. I would feel better about things.
