WIS - Fix this *%^ game Topic

+1 Hughes.... This sure won't help anything.

I love folks who think that someone doesn't have a right to complain or otherwise air grievances on a game for which he or she pays to play. I suppose if jbasnight went to Wendy's and got a fish sandwich when he asked for a frostee that he should just eat the fish sandwich and pray that Wendy's gets better at customer service?

Jbasnight is a good coach, seemingly a standup guy, and a paying customer. And if you actually listened to him, he has some good points. Oh, and he's not a WIS lemming. Bonus points for that.

He sure as heck has a right to complain.  There are issues with this game, we all have particular problems that we would like to see addressed, but to refuse to do something as simple as 'like' on facebook, when that might bring more people into this game, is spiteful and shortsighted and accomplishes nothing.

The problem is he presented no points. How are we supposed to have discussion about that when he just says, vaguely, "it needs fixing." Give us talking points, we don't berate him.

...and then I'll "like" you on Facebook. That sound like a deal?
don't know what the problem is with this guys. SOMEONE had to say it.

he presented a point. very simply, when WIS gets off their *** and pays attention, he will scratch their back for them. for almost a year there was 0 effort put into this game. i'm a fan of seble's last fix. but i think its perfectly reasonable to expect more before you lure others to the game on their behalf.

i thought that was pretty obvious when i read this post back before it had all the negative responses. i wouldn't really say you have to read behind the lines either...

If you guys are SO SMART ... and if creating a college basketball simulation that works is SO EASY ...

Why don't you create your own in stead of constantly bitchin' ... THEN you can take all the HD customers to your awesomely performing game.
So because I can't build a car, I don't have a right to complain when the car I buy doesn't work properly?

Look, it's clearly not useful to make a generic statement about HD not working properly.  But to suggest that he doesn't have the right to complain is ridiculous.

EDIT: And it's even more ridiculous to suggest that he doesn't have the right to complain because he isn't a computer programmer, which makes almost no sense.  He pays for a product, the product should work properly.  If your contention is that HD works properly, I think most would disagree.  If it's that it's hard to program games so WIS should get a pass on the game not working properly, then I think most disagree.

Let me make my stance clear: he has a right to complain. But to complain by simply saying "this sucks" is not presenting a point, it's saying "this sucks." billy, there are definitely things that need fixing, but when you come on here and all you say is "f*ck this, I'm not liking this stupid Facebook link" is not improving anything. Heck, it might be making it worse. WIS is screwed up, and they'd rather attract new customers and THEN improve the product instead of improve the product and THEN attract customers. You do it the first way, you are treading water, cuz if the product sucks, people don't stick around.

If we could get seble to make a better product, it would sell itself with less effort. So instead of complaining, we should do something productive, like offering suggestions. Complaints won't get us anywhere, unless there is a solution alongside it.

The game has competitve  issues that have been pointed out by very solid coaches/customers for many months now. Suggestions have been offerred on how to improve the game, but most of us are not computer programmers who can actually fix the product for WIS. I agree that more of us would be more likely to recommend the game to others if we felt suggestions were being  taken seriously. If action is not taken, WIS will continue to fade.

I know jbasnight's points, and they are good ones. +1

Why does a reason need to be stated when you can look at past threads and find many suggestions and many issues paying customers have brought up and nothing has been done to fix any of them. I have seen many productive threads that have accomplished nada.. So if this dude wants to post a thread against not liking on fb because the game is f'd up, who are you to say he needs points stated and blah blah blah. They are already stated! Let him live with his right to speak freely man!!

That's your argument, rednation? seriously, I don't buy that at all. Why was there a need for this thread if he's not doing anything but saying he won't like it on facebook? this is incredibly unproductive and stupid. At least make an arguement for WHY there is a need for change. Yep, there needs to be change. So? So, he won't like it on facebook. Well whoopdy doo, lets halt everything because this one guy doesn't want to take 3 seconds out of his day to click one button that could conceivably help improve the game.

thanks for the post.

The flaw in that logic Red is that we are specifically discussing the OP here.  There is no way to know which of thiose many past threads he is referring to, if in fact his particular problems have been voiced in the past.    Seble has been much more attentive lately, making fixes and changes, and when those prove to be ineffective (hiring in particular) he is correcting the errors.   The game isn't perfect, but no matter how many fixes they make, someone will still have a complaint, it's not possible to make the game perfect to everyone's satisfaction.  So to refuse to like the game on facebook (while continuing to pay to play it) until they fix a problem that you won't tell them what it is makes no sense.  Yes complain, yes point out things that need to be fixed, but if you can push a button and hopefully get some more humans instead of SIMS, then push the damn button and keep working to make the game better
