i would also strongly consider playing him on +1. i know his lp is awesome, thats not the point. the point is he is not taking enough 3s. you will mostly convert long 2s to 3s going +1 and that should be a good thing.

And to coach_billyg's point, if he shoots at least 33% from the 3 point line, that's equivalent to shooing 50% from 2 point range. Heck of a player you got there.

This is distinctly untrue given that the probability of a player with 100 ATH and 100 SPD and plenty of BH getting fouled on a 2 is quite high, whereas the probability of anyone being fouled shooting a 3 is diminishingly small.

I disagree with that, its still true. I never said that shooting 33% for 3 point range was just as good as driving to the hoop with this guy. I simply stated a equation that 33% from 3 is the same as 50% from 2. I wasn't trying to compare shooting 3's to his driving ability or ability to draw fouls.

Hes currently set at -1 and I've been debating going 0 and giving him more distro but hes been completely unstoppable as is and the rest of my guys are shooting well.

I'm going to tell him that if he comes back for his SR season, I \'ll give him the green light for more threes

id like to congratulate u mets - although, honestly, i would also like to punch you in the face :)

really, next year, you should play around with the + option. i think his lp is causing him to take too few 3s. i mean granted, his 2pt % is totally awesome. but if his long jump shots turn to 3s, without really taking away his long jump shots nor driving, that could serve to up his efficiency. i really don't know if it will work like that. i will say though - most of us agree that moving a guard to -2 really causes him to take more shots from "just inside the 3 point line", instead of really driving. so is the opposite true? i don't know.

typically, a player with that 2 point efficiency, i would NEVER move to +1 or +2. but just because his lp is so high, he is taking much less than what i consider the standard 50-60% 3s, for a guard of his shooting caliber.

I tried +1 in one or two games after your comment - too small a sample to tell.

It is an interesting question - dont want to give up his ability to get to the free throw line - like those 200 FTA, but if he could take a few more 3 pt shots at high percentage that would be a good thing

so I set the kid at +1 for our OOC schedule - which stat line do we prefer, this season or last?  I miss him going to the line as much in exchange for those extra 3 point shots
