The world chat is ridiculous.   Lots of life lessons being taught there.

Yeah lol we have a couple real winners on the world chat in there.

I think it's a good thing for WIS to remove terible contracts that have been created by malicious owners trying to damage a world.

I also think if you carefully screen the people you allow in your private worlds you probably wont have this issue..

Was not the case here from the looks of it.

A)  It's not a terrible contract.   33 year old pitcher who would have a 1.2 WHIP and 3.5 ERA in most worlds with an average D in an average park.    He would also go in excess of 5/75 in pretty much every world.

B)  You have the ability to view a team BEFORE taking it.   If you want to ask WifS to reduce a contract, do it then.   Hell, maybe the commish should have to ask.  "Hey, I'm interested in Team A.  But that 4y/80m contract is detrimental.  Ask WifS to reduce it and, if they do, I'll take the team."   Commish decides, maybe asks the world for their opinion and goes from there.

Answer to my ticket: The user asked that we reduce the contract and we were told that the commissioner and the entire world were behind this decision. It appears that that is not the case after reviewing the world chat. There is nothing we can do now since many owners have already bid on him during the free agency period. We will make adjustments to our policy so that these types of things do not happen in the future.

Does not make sense as the player is not in free agency at the moment and there are no bids being put on him at all.  I again responded to the ticket asking for the contract to be corrrected and am awaiting a response.

Yeah, low level support.   Stay with it.

Too many instances lately of low level support having too much power. Guinness and now Mike Greenwell.

And if WIS is being truthful, that owner should be kicked out of the world for blatantly lying in order to improve his situation.

It's been that way for a long time.    In Braggin' Rights, an owner made a late trade and couldn't add the player to his playoff roster(rightfully so).  He sent a ticket and CS added him.   I sent a ticket and asked "WTF?"    They said "Someone made an error.  We've corrected it."    I imagine stuff like this/that happens all the time and we just don't hear about it.

I think I'll create a new world, and add a rule that anyone that sends a ticket to WIS to correct a user error will be removed. Im sure theyll allow me to enforce that.

I also know they voided a deal in Coop when one of the owners sent a ticket before it was completed.   He told them he was trying to withdraw at the same time the other owner accepted.   I don't remember if we pushed the deal thru or not(since you could void a deal on your own back then by promoting/demoting a player involved).

Outsourcing first level to Peggy might be better.

They should only act on requests like this if they're made by the world commissioner.

And, if they act on them at all, only if and when the commissioner took a world vote first.

If you have a good commish, a world vote wouldn't be necessary.

They just announced in WC that they changed it back.  Finally, some sense in a world gone mad.
