I cannot remember when I turned off Hit and Run but I know it was because I kept seeing the 42 Speed Catcher thrown out at second base it seemed like such a waste and reminded me of Deadball Era only in that there were so many Players that had a negative or less than 50-50 SB percentage ... I have a Team in the New Open (Pembroke Country Day with Equestrian Events :) based purely upon Speed and OBP not SB (necessarily) --- When I Drafted them the starting 8 have somewhere around OBP 0.400 and only 2 (SS [Speed 84] and Catcher) with Year above 1927 ... 27 Meusel slowest coming in at Speed 83 ... One thing I wondered about concerning stolen bases is if WIS Sim League BaseBall uses the first Version of the RC27 Formula which only includes "SB" ... There is a second Formula labeled in WikiPedia accounting for SB and "CS"
"Stolen base" version of runs created
This of course would effect RC/27 ... So With these DeadBall Era Players with above 60 up to 67 SB percentage I have them (to see how they do) in the
as a "Base Stealing" "3" at the most for instance if they are a Speed 92 but a "1" or "2" if say an 83 Speed as the competition here is above level compared to real life (noting the fact that a WS Team will most likely be less than $80 Mil ----- or more appropriately the Performance History Stats for a Player SB percentage would be less at least slightly) ... And the whole idea is to make the Base Running Aggressiveness: Very Aggressive ... Thanks for bearing with me as had the time to elaborate.
** As an Afterthought these Players Years Appeared in Draft Center at the Top of the List or Column (#ERC) by Setting
$/PA to 0-8000 among Other Things Not Because I wanted DeadBall Era ... The Only Thing I wondered about was all the Caught Stealing ...
