I am proud of what I have done at Montana, but when I am your best win you don't deserve to play for the national title, as my team isn't all that good (at least in comparison to the top tier schools).
Also, while you played 6 of 8 humans in conference, none of them were ranked higher than 41. Even the Sunbelt with just 6 humans has 4 teams ranked higher than 41 (while the MAC only has 2 - yours and Western Michigan who you didn't even play). If your conference scheduled a bit better and had better rankings, you might have gotten to the big game as Army did it from the Sun Belt (again with just 6 humans) just a couple of seasons ago.
