I know this seems minor, especially since you'll probably be using filler players instead of them anyway, but in order to avoid any future problems, I think it's important that all rules be applied equally regardless of the situation.  These rules:

   - If you make an uneven trade (2 for 1, 3 for 2 etc.) keep in mind the team that gains a player will essentially lose a draft pick. Do NOT make an uneven trade if it will cause your roster to go over the maximum allowed active player total of 12.

   - YOUR KEEPER ROSTER WILL BE FROZEN ONCE THE FIRST SELECTION IS MADE.

- After ALL teams have completed their draft you may drop any player(s) that have been on your roster for 1 entire season for any undrafted player(s) once the draft is completed. It will be first come - first serve for these undrafted players AKA free agents. You must post who your taking and dropping in the draft forum.

would indicate that you have to take Krystowiak and Rambis back as part of the deal, since it took place after the start of the Draft.

Honestly, there needs to be a buffer for trades to occur after the lottery and before the draft starts if I can't trade my pick for picks and drop players as needed. I couldn't trade my draft pick until the lottery ended, because I wouldn't trade it if it were the 1 or 2 pick. So I think this should be looked at. Thoughts?

I'm certainly in favor of anything that encourages trading, but I also understand the rational behind each and every one of these rules.  For every possible "tweek" I can come up with, I can also come up with a way owners could abuse that "tweek".  Maybe I'm getting too cynical in my old age.  My biggest point is that whatever is decided upon needs to be administered with total consistency to avoid issues.

I guess I simply need to know if my trade stands as-is? If not, it should be vetoed due to the rule issue and the draft needs to be stopped since the 3rd pick is now back to being mine.

Since logain already stated he'd be OK grabbing filler guys instead of getting any other draft picks, I'd certainly imagine he'd be OK with taking Krystowiak and Rambis (then replacing them with filler guys if need be).  Hopefully he'll confirm that shortly.

If it were possible for players to be dropped after the Draft begins, what would be stopping me from waiting until after the first 22 picks are made then dropping Barkley for shaggy to draft?  It sounds ridiculous, and it is an extreme example, but it illustrates the type of thing that could be done by owners who might want to try to help each other out, if such a rule were not in place.

I would take rambis and krytowiak. No problems.

When I saw you had to drop those guys I almost asked to amend the trade to add them anyway.
5/11/2012 6:03 PM
Will you drop Barkley for me?
5/11/2012 7:08 PM
Let me look into more.  But it looks like for now everything is fine.

St. Louis selects PG Sam Cassell
5/11/2012 8:50 PM
Vernon maxwell on the block for a PG, or PF/C. I will also take an upcoming pick. I have a late 1st, and late 2nd. I would be willing to give up my picks and maxwell for a better 1st, and or the right player. (not opposed to trading my own future picks, or for future 1st's as well)

V.Maxwell (SG,PG)
93-94 $4.7mil
94-95 $3.5mil
95-96 $4.7mil
96-97 $3.5mil
97-01 $5.8mil

I will take the first offer I like, don't be afraid to offer. I will be making a move.

Feel free to text me to get this wrapped up 405-657-0694. Cjok-thunder
