Yeah, I'm not saying you're wrong(although I'm an IP/AB believer).    I'm just saying, if it's what you believe, you should be going balls to the wall with it.

My starting pitching prospects do have more starts than the rest of the staffs but I am going to make the switch and try and get them even more appearances.

You are talking about a reliever who a team had pitching 20 games a year, which isnt enough appearances for a reliever. Im talking about a pitcher who relieves 75 games but only 1 IP each time, or a starter who goes every 4 days, 3-4 IPs at a time. There is no stunt. I have pitchers gain 7-10 points a category just like most others do. I simply don't think its worth the risk.
I took your word for it at the time, but that isnt accurate. That reliever made 50 appearances and 50ish innings one year, then made 53 appearances and 88IP the next season and had a bigger increase in his vR rating the second season.

Here is another example. Made 35 appearances and 36IP one season. Then made 39 appearances and 92IP the next. His control went up 11pts the first season, and 14pts the next.  Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: P.J. Warden
