Yes, PF has nothing directly to do with it, but it should serve as a proxy for the overall impact of the various individual settings for 1B, 2B, 3B, HR.  I prefer that (much simpler) than trying to adequately weight how much to charge for +1 for 1B versus -1 for HR, etc.

That would be relatively easy to program with the ballpark essentially becoming the 26th roster spot with its own range of prices based on the park effects.

Maybe eventually they'll make MANAGER the 27th roster spot where Sparky Anderson costs $5M and Dusty Baker costs $10.

Dusty Baker might actually earn you money... provided you don't mind all your SP's getting injured.

As long as injuries are still just 1-game affairs...

I've suggested that in the past - not that there be a price associated, but that you could draft your manager.  I know they kinda/sorta simulate it with managerial settings, but wouldn't it be great to have a description-based manager choice?

"Earl Weaver - set-it-and-forget-it line up; no baserunning aggressiveness; bend-but-don't-break pitching staff; pray for the 3-run homer".

"Tommy Lasorda - durability more important than performance, so don't spend on bench; SPs regularly hit or exceed Max Pitch Counts. Warning: not recommended for Progressives due to arm burn-out."

"Tony LaRussa - small ball on offense with occasional power; expect to use 5-6 relief pitchers per game."
