I don't see anything wrong with what furry did and I don't see anything wrong with the coach specifically going after furry recruits.  Don't want that to happen?  Don't hop on guys on the last cycle (not that there's anything wrong with that).

But the real question is is this allowed? I know technically he could go after my recruits and it be *okay* because recruits are fair play until they sign, but sense he said this was his plan if he went after all of my guys and only my guys would WIS do something about it like put them on my team? I think I heard that is what they did before, but wasnt sure
I'd send a ticket forwarding the message. I imagine that Wis would inform the other coach that what he is threatening is against the rules and as long as he doesn't try to follow up on it nothing else would happen, but this way if something does happen you have at least already informed them of the possible issue...

on an unrelated note I have to keep asking myself why I always click on comments from blocked users. There is a reason I blocked them in the first place and its not likely they got any less asinine...I am never glad I clicked on one yet

I think the profanity and the aggressiveness from the other guy is the problem. A ticket should be sent.

I think if you are targeting another coach's recruits not for the betterment of your own team, but solely for the purpose of screwing another coach over, which this guy essentially admits is what he plans to do, that pretty clearly falls under the "Impeding Other Owners" section of the Fair Play Guidelines. The only question is whether merely threatening to do so is a violation or if he actually has to act upon the threat.
6/5/2013 11:01 PM
it probably isn't a true violation but I'd think CS should send a message saying something like what you are threatening to do is a violation so don't do it...

I really continue to be stunned by how ignorant a number of the posters here are. And I reiterate my statement about blocked comments. Did it again, same damn result. Last time I swear....

I think there is a pretty big difference between targeting someone where it would clearly help your team. B+ Bcs school trying to take on a B- bcs school recruits? That isn't going to help him any, and hes made it clear that "I ruined his team" because he lost 4 battles so his only point of playing is to "**** me over" If he was going after my guys because I over reached and they belong on a Bcs school that is fine, but I usually don't do that. I know the recruits in my range, but I don't think anyone can tell me a top bcs school should be recruiting all of a mid major recruits. Just like a C- mid major shouldn't take everything from an A+ Div II school. Can they cross paths? Sure, and they do, but not on every single recruit. I sent it to CS to say what they have to say, but it would be hard for them to do much. They can't tell him he can never recruit a guy I am on and vice versa, so where do they draw the line - 2 players? 3? more?

Is B+ a top BCS school?  That seems like a step or 2 up from the absolute minimum prestige they can get in a BCS conference to me.

Wow, the guy is in the wrong but if he wants to target your guys, I would applaud that. And would hope that you would too. Or we could try to get him in trouble for saying bad words after u ****** him over. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but at least the guy handled it one on one like an adult. The fact that part of the game is ******* people over is just that, intention or not and we have all had some pretty negative reactions. Hope no one was scarred for life over profanity.
Not really sure that I would consider what he did as "handling it one on one like an adult".  Looks a lot more like he's acting like some kind of petulant child than an adult, at least to me.  Waaah, I didn't get my way, so I'm gonna throw a fit and threaten you in the future.  That kind of adult?

Can't believe you'd even waste your time sending in a ticket.  If you're scared, buy a dog.

No worries furry... I don't think he can manage going after your guys...  he may be busy with mine.  Let me post the message he sent me (Butler)....

I love good recruiting battles but in all the time I've been playing this game I have never had anyone wait until the 2nd cycle before signings start and then spend 25K to 35K on a player trying to take a recruit from someone. Why have I never seen this? Probably because once anyone has gone that long and had a recruit wrapped up, there is nobody who would want to **** off another coach by doing them that way. Why you say? Because recruiting is hard enough when everyone is up front about recruiting and doesn't try and snipe a recruit at the very end. That is one reason but probably the biggest reason is that no coach would want to get on the bad side of another coach by doing that to them, especially when the coach you are doing it to is in a conference that gets a ton of recruiting money every season and ******* them off will cost you big time in the future. I assume you have never recruited at Div I before or you would not have done it so thought I would help you out because you start ******* off a few of the coaches from the big conferences that get extra recruiting money every season and they will bury you just to show you what you are doing is bad wrong. Like I said, you want to battle anyone for a recruit on the up and up, fine nobody will ever get upset but wait until the last couple of cycles and cost them a chance at a recruiting battle they have with another school for their top recruit prospect like you did me and they are going to make your life miserable. I'm going to let it pass since you are new to Div I but let it be known, you have cost me any chance I had of winning my battle with Indiana for my prize recruit. Now I'm going to have to spend that money to get the PG you are trying to snipe. You want a player and are willing to battle one of the big schools for him, more power to you but don't try being sneaky and doing it because in the long run you will get burried.

With that said, I'm surely open to any advice he can offer a scrub like myself.
