DII Prestige Calc - what the f ! Topic

I think it's just saying that with Season 71, the weighted average was x. Once you factor in Season 72, it slid further down the scale and crossed the "line". So the whole argument here is that one season doesn't drop your prestige down to where it would eventually go if ALL seasons were at that level. But as you continue to accrue seasons at that level, your prestige will move close to that level.

Again, this is DII and DIII. DI is much different with baselines and such.

Season #71 we had a score of 22 and were still "A+" and the next season were 23 and dropped to "A". I wonder if that "line" changes from season to season based on the other teams or if it stays the same.
22 is a better score than 23, so in that example, you are going the wrong way. but even if it was flipped, i wouldn't expect an approximation to be THAT consistent. i doubt the line changes.

good stuff, oldwarrior!

also, alblack if you are reading, sounds like you were right all along... sounds like "previous prestige" does pull in everything from the past like you had described.

I thought I was correct, because that was how seble described it to me. But, often, my calculations didn't match with the results. Coach oldwarrior, with his great details, clarified the issue

CS came back and said us and Charleston are almost even. Each bordering the A/A+ line.

I did the math. Charleston very much deserves to be a high, strong A+ and W. Virginia St. should be in the C/C+ range. I'll notify CS about the issue.
