Schwarze one more question that will impact my selection.

Suppose I nominate the 1993 Dodgers and select the $6.4M Mike Piazza.  At the end of the draft, a horrible Darryl Strawberry is still available on that 1993 Dodger team.  I can twist to another Darryl Strawberry season even though Darryl Strawberry may have been drafted from one of the other Mets teams that was nominated.  Correct?

Most of the time the draft itself is the best time of the 16 x 16 normal drafts. Thinking this time a "Bizzaro"  draft this will be even better. With no regard for winning the league I will go against my normal thinking and go with the King dome. 1997 Seattle Mariners.

I know that the rule regarding four 500+ PA and three 180+ IP seems somewhat arbitrary, and it is to some respect (i.e., I could have chosen 170 or 175 innings).  I realize that this rule eliminates some really good options.  But I was worried that there would be so few full-time SP's available that every team would end up with a 5 or 6 man rotation.  Add to this the likely potential that everybody would have to platoon at 4 or 5 offensive positions, and still find enough roster spots to build a bullpen.  We'll see how this works out, and in future versions, we can adjust accordingly.

I imagine that this will play out like an 80 or 90M league, with each team having 1-2 good SPs, a couple of solid hitters and mediocrity everywhere else.

FYI - I purposely didn't specific when I would select my team.  I didn't really do any advance research before posting the ad, so I will pick my team, when I find a team.  I am currently doing research, like everybody else.

Well, I lost sleep trying to find a rational strategy.  Gave that up in favor of a team I Iike that fits the criteria: 1985 Cardinals.

What I couldn't believe was the number of teams that didn't meet the 4 players at 500 ABs. I thought everyone had that.  I kind of figured 3 at 180 IP would be selective given the prominence of 5 man rotations..

1968 Cardinals for me please.

Remember, it's 500+ PA/162, not AB
