I wouldn't say that the WE didn't matter for Plenskofski. Had he been a 5-10 WE yes, he still would of been a serviceable player throughout his career, but the fact his initial 15 WE provided at least some growth and that I was in a position to start him from the beginning to get the WE higher has allowed him to develop into a very good D3 player. His 57 Per is still blue. I'm projecting 60 Ath, 80 Spd, 85 Def, 80 Per, 72 BH, 40 Pass, 80 St by the end of his career next season. I can win some games with players like that.
I will be interested in more discussion on this to see if people think a 10 WE guy could improve enough to be more than just a career backup. Right now, I wouldn't go that low, but it wasn't that long ago I wouldn't have gone as low as a 15 WE. I've found it can work under the right circumstances.
