"And of course this isn't at all how it happened"

And the best way to convince people that your version is correct, is not to put out your version of the events. It is to talk about how you could have reported the situation, but didn't, and to insinuate that he and another user are in a gay relationship.

was there ever any evidence to suggest collusion?
the level of evidence presented the first time was literally much less than the evidence presented this time. that mississippi thing is a proverbial smoking gun compared to what colonels came up with last time.

edit: ill quickly recap, because i can't stand seeing the name of a coach i respect so much brought into question in such a completely insane manner. heres the story: colonels is coaching new orleans, with a b- prestige (maybe a b), and johnsensing is coaching LSU, with an A+ of course. so early in recruiting, colonels jumps on a local 4 star or something, a BCS quality guy, and is on him alone. meanwhile, he is fighting some 3rd coach for a recruit, and apparently, is winning (the other guy was maybe C prestige mid major or something).

later in recruiting, john takes the 4 star off colonels. colonels thinks, wow, that guy only has 1 and 2/3rds grades and who knows how much bonus money on me, i should probably take that fight. so he does. it goes without saying that he lost. well then, the C prestige school coach apparently notices that colonels is on a suicide mission battling an A+ BCS. so, he picks up the original battle. colonels loses both. much whining and menstrual bleeding ensues, with colonels concluding that john must be colluding with the C prestige school, because apparently its easier to believe that A+ hall of fame coaches go around colluding with C prestige schools against B- prestige schools, than it is to believe that john was simply taking the player because he was an A+ bcs worthy player and thats what A+ BCS schools do.

thats the entire story. there was no communication between john and the C prestige guy, no past history presented, nothing except the "timing of the events makes it obvious collusion"
I'm not arguing about this again, but for the record, this is exactly how it went down.  Now, back to gillespie1's and my curtain-shopping….

They just need to cut off conference tourney money by 50 %, maybe more.. If I coach well, my reputation is high, I should have the edge when it's time to recruit regardless if I am in Oklahoma State or VCU. Shaka Smart attracked good recruits because his reputation was high and he was a winning coach. It's time they get the Big Six teams leveled a bit when it comes to recruiting money. I don't mind the base prestige cause they are logical to some extend... They'd need a refresh, but that's about it.

If tourney money is important, why not give full money to the team doing the good stuff... And 20 % to other teams. I dunno, that D1 money thing has to be worked out.

Personally....I think not enough top level recruits that will accept a lower mid conference school since Div 1 is based solely on money and they the big 6 have it. Not very realistic but is the game, so live with it.

Gillispie's recount is exactly what colonels19 stated in the original thread, which is here.  The guy Sensing "poached" was the #5 C in the nation, a guy colonels was on (alone) from the beginning, with a B- prestige.  To save everyone a lot of reading, here's colonels' version of the story:

"Ok, so I was just going to continue to dick around about this, but no more.  I will not use usernames, but do your own research.

I was battling a user A who had 3 open ships, and between 8-10 considering at any one given time.

I had 3 open ships, 3 guys considering from cycle 1, 2 I was the only team on.  I had the mf (user A) beat on the guy we were battling for until...

On the 8PM cycle on signing day, I sign one guy, still battling with user A, and a guy jumps on the other guy that was considering only me up until that point, who happens to be in the same DIVISION of the conference of the guy I'm already battling.  User A had 3 or 4 others (aside from the one we were fighting over) considering at that the time after signing 2 guys at 8PM, but he's only chasing the guy that him and I are after.  I end up not getting either guy, and bottom line is, ******* talked."

This was almost a year ago, here's what I wrote in that thread:

"Just to build a bit off of tkimble...

I took a recruit from LSU (johnsensing) when he had 3 players considering him for 3 spots. 2 were in Louisiana, the other in ARK. At the 5 PM signing day cycle, I went hard after the guy in ARK and dropped him off of LSU.

LSU decides to take the sure pickings a player considering of Colonels' New Orleans team instead of the toss-up of trying to get the ARK recruit back.

For anyone new to the forums, colonels is the resident idiot."

Stinenavy : To me, a new player, Colonels is not the resident idiot. He is a competitive owner. The situation that he described is probably coincidental, but none of us can say he was wrong for sure. So let's say there is a 5 % chance he is right? Would you see him differently? Some things strange happen during recruiting. I saw Aejones show us what he went through lately and use the ticket way to get no response!!! I have two situations, one when I got hit in the last cycle by three teams at the same time, completly destroying my recruiting effort. It happens to everyone. But when owners leave the next season, or you do not see them close your recruits again, it makes you think, is there collusion here?

I am pretty sure there is collusion in a lot of worlds cause you can't really prevent it 100 %. It's all on everyone ethical decisions. I won't go out and name names... But when I see a guy in DII already on recruits 1500 miles away from campus right from the start, and these players are high on my list, it's either an alt name or one of his friend giving him infos. No owners would scout states that far when recruiting starts. And when you know the player is a stud, it gets strange.

I was not there playing when Colonels got into that situation, but he is pretty convinced it happened... Maybe he is wrong, but sometimes it's tough to change the perception you have of an event. All we can do is remind owners that it's a game, cheating is really detrimental to it and disrespectful to others. Cheating could go as far as letting a friend win the CT to get him into the NT. Or a conference mates to get him into the CT... It could also be playing along with friends and discussing states so you can scout everywhere without paying.

doesnt look to me like a 5% chance.

All of the behavior described is normal.  A+ schools take top recruits from B schools.  If a B school thinks that is unexpected or suggestive of collusion, the B school is not playing well.

When a school is in a fight, smart owners will notice and consider whether that creates an opportunity for them.

Each of these happen all the time.

one more thing - each of these SHOULD happen all the time.

I only read the first couple of sentences. I imagine the rest of this is probably as misguided as what I read.

I'm saying he's wrong. There's a 0% chance he is right. He's being a troll.

post a link to the original thread then trev at least...let folks draw their own conclusion.
Go find it then...this is a thread about karma and how johnsensing can't beat me.  I don't really expect anything of anyone.
unfounded accusations are bad karma. I think
