I probably should figure out a word for this and add it to the WISC lingo thread...but I am pretty sure that the probability that one of your opening games goes deep into extra innings, depleting your pitching staff, is inversely proportional to how many innings you drafted.
The term or phrase needs to capture the notion that, while not true, we all feel that not drafting enough innings is a "sufficient condition" to ensure an immediate set of early season extra-inning games. And, of course, one that includes the nefariousness of it all.
