Extra Pitchers:
Probably the strangest thing about this league is the addition of one extra pitcher per team, from a pool of moderate quality pitcher-seasons whose careers ended before 1977.  This is an experiment to improve the balance between pitching and hitting in the league - if it doesn't go over well, we can ditch it after our first season. For the first season, the pool is chosen by these search criteria: 110-120 IP/162, 120-130 ERC+, 1935-1960 seasons. This gives salaries ranging from 2.45 M - 3.09 M. That gives 20 pitchers, assigned alphabetically by their name to the teams in the same draft order we've been using. The pool of extra pitchers will change every season, so the same guys do not get re-used.

If Danidon switches from Yankees to Rangers, I'm guessing mlent would take Guidry instead of Blyleven, in which case I would still take Yount #2.  But I'd take Guidry if he is available at #2.

I'm trying to list available players on page 1, but having trouble with the website tonight.  It's easy to make mistakes with players who were on multiple teams in 1977, so it wouldn't hurt to double check baseball-reference.com before drafting one if you have any doubt.  

Not sure if Mets should go ahead and make their pick or not.....

I'm up again at #4 with the Braves, but will wait for mlent to confirm my guess that he'll want Guidry at #1.  I'm also going to start a separate trade thread so this draft thread doesn't get too cluttered.
