To me Artis is pretty much a glorified role player in this league. He's not the number1 option that's for sure. But with Duncan's fairly weak rebounding it was nice to add a plus %CREB at over 40 minutes per game to the team with 80 defense. The 56 EFG% will be a lot better for the team than Russell's 43 EFG% was last season.
There IS a good Artis that most people don't use: The 58% efg / tier 3 usage / 39% crb. It's legit and nobody ever seems to use him. Lots of fouls & turnovers, yes, but not much more than the support-Artis most people go for. Sometimes the team build dictates the other, but you can definitely have him as your #2 guy (or #3 if you go with a 3-headed monster)

Nash/Bron/Mutombo > Harden/Ewing/Wilt
This is one of my better starts. Have never seen Nash go in the 2nd but was pretty sure he would be one of Mikee's picks on the turn. Mutombo fell to me perfectly. Feel like I have good balance and touched on most facets of the game. Got a couple of days of optimism before I screw it up.

there are not a ton of high usage/high efg PG 100% dudes out there so I'm not sure why people are so leery about Nash

That was the guy I was hoping to have if Vancem didn't kill me with his steal.

The sub 40 defense makes people run for the hills. Maybe it shouldn't. Maybe it should.

The Ewing pick gives high usage at 55 EFG% but at 98%. The problem many owners in the past have had with drafting Wilt and the 68 EFG% version is a lack of points as Wilt won't score much over 20 ppg. The other high usage players that mikee1 wanted to add to the Harden choice were most likely gone. But that being said I liked other similar undrafted players better than Ewing. The overall usage will be high on the team and you do want Wilt to take as many shots as possible don't you? If Harden is going 11 for 30 and Wilt only goes 6 fo 8 shooting very often that will be a bad thing.

lebron/nash/mutombo was good to me in the odl...can be even scarier in this league..definitely my favorite trio so far

Wondering what the impact of having Malone and Drummond will be. Beastly oreb.

orb% may help with fg%
3/13/2016 2:08 PM
Hope so. With the run on PGs I'm not getting help with my fg% through ast%. Used to be able to jump on a guy like Harper in the 4th.

The PG run seems to be coming increasingly early in the draft.

Indeed. I suspect a few owners are hoping to load up on ast%, aiming for a magical bump in shooting efficiency.
