Just had to change lanes on the last day of recruiting due to a redshirt issue. Put 40 APs into a guy, 95% unlock on the scholarship, can't offer in the final cycle. Huge bummer.
All players in your division (and below) are unlocked on the final day. You CAN offer after all!!!
Yes, but the available players labeled as "D3 guys" in the last session of S2 are worth about as much as a walk-on.

Actually in many cases (if not all) you're being too nice. A walkon has a better chance of having randomly decent potential AND you only get 'stuck' with them for one year! These guys you're stuck with for more!

There you are. You CAN offer. Glad to get that straightened out.
Ahh okay, I understand your confusion. When I said "can't offer in the final cycle", I was referring to the player that I put the APs into. I understand that it's difficult for you to not jump in to a thread when you think there's an opportunity for you to be a douchebag, but please read the posts beforehand.

You've just learned a valuable lesson the hard way. Don't converse with Spud.

Yeah mbriese, how dare you reach above your division and try to get a decent player.

Be sure not to say the words "huge bummer", guys. According to Spud, that's "railing about the game" and "calling it broken".

Also, I wouldn't consider going after any player that is considering 0 teams in the 2nd recruiting session "risky", regardless of division. Any other nonsense for us today, Spud?

Because if he gets one and someone from the higher division lost out on the player, we get 10 threads saying "Bullshit. That would never happen in real life. A players would choose D1 over D2/D3."

Guys make their choices, and when their choices don't work out as hoped it is the game that is broken. There's nonsense for you.
I never said anything about the game being broken. I said not being able to offer the scholarship was a huge bummer. You're just interpreting that how you like so that you can gripe about the same thing you always gripe about.

Forget the dice rolls, the absolute worst thing to come with 3.0 is Spud.

You ever have that thought in the back of your mind that seble is secretly trolling us?

Yeah, that theory was tossed around during Beta. Seemed plausible. Only thing Spud ever disagreed with was the Red Light thing. Could have been a clever misdirection.
